What the property needed
The project began as an insurance claim after hail damage. Once the old shingles and felt were removed, the crew found rotten decking and soft areas in the roof. Further inspection showed broken rafters beneath portions of the roof that needed to be repaired before the new roofing system could be installed.
What American Roofing installed
American Roofing & Construction replaced the rotten decking material and repaired the broken rafters, then installed new synthetic underlayment over the roof deck. Ice & Water Shield was installed around the chimney flashing and in the valleys before Class 3 Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration shingles in Estate Gray were installed. Gutters were installed on a separate day after the roof was completed.
